Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2nd July, 2026
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of chloeducker.com (the "Site") and, where applicable, the services provided by Chloe Ducker Media ("I", "me", "my"). By using this Site or engaging my services, you agree to these Terms.
I'm a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, and these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Services
I offer the following services on a freelance basis:
Content creation & strategy
Podcast editing & scheduling
Email list build out
Ecosystem optimisation
Web design (available on request, subject to a separate agreement)
The specifics of any project — including scope, timeline, deliverables, and pricing — will be confirmed separately in a proposal, contract, or written agreement before work begins. These Terms cover general use of the Site and the baseline terms of any engagement; they don't replace a signed project agreement, which will take precedence where the two differ.
Enquiries
Submitting the enquiry form on this Site does not create a contract between us. It simply starts a conversation. A working relationship begins only once we've agreed scope and terms in writing (e.g. via a signed proposal, contract, or emailed confirmation).
Payment Terms
Invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments may incur a delay to ongoing or future work until the outstanding balance is settled.
All prices are in GBP. I am not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not charged on my services.
Cancellations & Changes
Either party may cancel an ongoing engagement with 14 days' written notice.
Work completed up to the point of cancellation will be invoiced and is payable in full.
Changes to an agreed scope of work may affect timelines and pricing, and will be confirmed in writing before proceeding.
Intellectual Property
Once an invoice has been paid in full, you'll own the final deliverables created specifically for you as part of the agreed project.
I retain the right to use non-confidential examples of completed work in my own portfolio, website, and marketing materials, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
Any tools, templates, systems, or processes I use to deliver the work remain my own intellectual property and are not transferred as part of the engagement.
Confidentiality
I treat any business, client, or personal information shared with me during a project as confidential, and I won't share it with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
No Guarantee of Results
While I bring genuine experience and strategy to every project, I can't guarantee specific outcomes — such as follower growth, download numbers, email list size, or revenue — as these depend on many factors outside my control, including your market, audience, and how content is ultimately used or approved.
Third-Party Platforms
Some services rely on third-party platforms (e.g. social media platforms, podcast hosting services, email marketing tools). I'm not responsible for outages, policy changes, or issues caused by these third-party platforms, though I'll do my best to work around them where possible.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this Site or my services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for anything that cannot legally be limited or excluded, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Website Use
Content on this Site (including text, design, and branding) is my own intellectual property and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
You agree not to misuse this Site — for example, by attempting to access it in a way that could damage, disable, or overburden it.
